Are you looking to develop your career at the heart of global Trade & Commodity finance? We are seeking a commercial, proactive self-starter at Vice President level to join our Geneva-based Global Merchants Group (GMG) team within Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF). Working closely with senior Parent Account Managers (PAMs), you will combine analytical expertise with strong written and verbal communication skills to support some of the world's largest and most strategic commodity trading clients.

Trade & Commodity Finance (TCF) is part of ING's Commodities, Food & Agri sector and is recognised as a global leader in financing physical commodity traders across energy, metals & agricultural markets. With dedicated teams across EMEA, Asia and North America, TCF supports clients operating in sectors that are essential to the global economy and increasingly influenced by sustainability, energy transition & evolving supply chains.
The Global Merchants Group (GMG) covers some of the largest and most strategic independent traders, trading arms of integrated majors, independent refiners, regional energy players and European gas and power companies. As part of our Geneva-based team, you will work closely with senior Parent Account Managers, product specialists, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations colleagues across ING's global network. Together, we deliver innovative solutions to clients while maintaining the strong team spirit that underpins our success.
Rolesand responsibilities
As Relationship Manager, Global Merchants Group, you will support the commercial coverage and portfolio management of strategic commodity clients while contributing to transaction execution, risk management and business development.
Leading the credit approval process by preparing and coordinating high-quality credit applications and transaction proposals for regional and global decision-making committees.
Managing the execution of new and existing transactions, from client onboarding and structuring discussions through credit approval, documentation, implementation and ongoing servicing.
Working alongside senior Parent Account Managers and the Group Lead to support the coverage of leading global commodity clients and complex financing solutions.
Preparing client presentations, portfolio reviews, industry analyses and management materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinating legal, customer due diligence, KYC, documentation and covenant monitoring activities.
Participating in client meetings and management presentations, preparing briefing materials, strategic analyses and follow-up actions.
Supporting portfolio management initiatives, including capital optimisation and industry reporting.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Risk, Legal, Compliance and product areas to deliver integrated client solutions.
Contributing to the origination and development of new business opportunities across lending, Financial Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Transaction Services, Capital Structuring & Advisory and syndicated finance products.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in lending, structured finance, relationship management or another front-office banking role.
