As we continue to scale our Renewable Products business, we are looking for you, a strategic, data driven and inspiring Commercial Operations Manager to lead our Geneva based team.

We are looking for a confident leader that will steer a team of 10 experienced commercial operators, directly influencing our success through expert data driven decision making, supply chain optimization, both in renewable and fossil operations, logistics and inventory management.

Your role in our team

As the Manager of Commercial Operations, you will be responsible for the E2E execution of our commercial strategy. You will ensure that our supply, sales, and refinery steering are perfectly aligned to maximize value while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 10 specialists and coordinators, fostering a culture of continuous development and psychological safety.
  • Commercial Optimization:
    Drive optimal commercial outcomes with data analysis and steering supply, and sales operational activities across international renewable and fossil energy markets.
  • Regional Inventory Management: Oversee the teams storage capacity ensuring efficient inventory turnover and cost control.
  • Strategic Impact: Directly impact corporate financial reporting by steering operational, biocriteria compliance and month-end closing processes.
  • Change Management: Directly impact the company’s strategic incentives by implementing change and continual improvement in ways of working
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as a subject matter expert, collaborating with terminal hubs, shipping partners, customers, and regulatory bodies to secure Neste’s position in the end-to-end supply chain.
Keys to success in this role

We are seeking a leader who thrives in high-pressure, high-value environments and possesses:

  • Comprehensive E2E Supply Chain Knowledge: A solid understanding of oil and/or renewable energy markets and the agility to learn evolving biocriteria regulations.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience managing expert-level teams (5-15 members) with a focus on talent retention, continual improvement and process simplification.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to prioritize tactical projects and make independent data driven decisions that yield significant efficiency and financial impact.
  • Exceptional Communication: Fluency in English (minimum of B2 level) and the ability to manage complex change management scenarios with diverse stakeholders.
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or extensive professional experience in supply chain/commercial operations.
