The Airline, Airport and Security OCS department provides the aviation industry with transformative Operational and Compliance solutions helping to drive overall profitability and sustainability.
Reporting to the Director Airlines, Airports and Security COS, you will be responsible for the strategic product management of publications and solutions covering the Operations, Security, Passenger Experience, Environment and Sustainability areas. The strategic product management incorporates both management of existing products as well as development of value-added solutions.
This includes leading a team to optimize the management of current publications from all divisions to identify efficiencies in both the operational management and sales of these publications as well as working closely with SME’s, publishing operations and marketing departments to ensure product, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Senior Product Manager is responsible for identifying and developing both enhancements to existing products and, more importantly, new solutions that will address customer pain points in these key areas.
Whatyour day would be like
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for the assigned portfolio including definition of priorities, new areas of growth and commercial strategy
- Liaise with the direct and broader IATA team to ensure alignment of product strategy with solutions, standards and advocacy goals across the organisation;
- Coordinate the delivery, support, marketing, sales and customer support of publications and solutions with the SME’s and various support services across the organisation
- Define and execute the overall marketing and sales strategies in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing groups
- Continuously engage with the customers to understand their needs and pain points to identify, build business cases and launch new product ideas/enhancements and service opportunities, and oversee their implementation, with an initial focus on the Sustainability area.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders, partners and customers through the establishment of user groups
- Manage the budget and forecasts, leading to exceeding the revenue and operating results targets of the portfolio
- Manage the team in achieving the strategic objectives of the portfolio
- Minimum 5 years of experience in innovation, product management, business development or marketing
- Good understanding of the airline, airport, and air travel industry key issues and business economics
- Experience in aviation passenger processing, facilitation and/or sustainability would be an advantage
- Expertise in product development, feature definition and development of innovative business models
- Excellent inter-personal skills and expertise in stakeholder management
- Experience in managing budgets and responsibility for P&L
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Strong leader, comfortable in managing SME’s, multifunctional teams and external partners;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Comfortable in public speaking and influencing key stakeholders;
