Job Overview

Under the guidance of the Faith and Membership specialist, the incumbent will grow faith & membership giving revenue stream through market capacity building.

Responsibilities
  • Act as focal point for National Committees and Country Offices in Asia/Pacific and Northern Europe.
  • Support new business development and establish pipeline of prospects.
  • Conduct strategic mapping to explore new opportunities.
  • Develop tools to position UNICEF as partner of choice, support grant management, due diligence, and communication.
  • Grow technical expertise and capacity building, build Community of Practice, and maintain database of guidance notes.
Deliverables
  • Grow income of priority markets through coaching, support, and expertise to relationship managers.
  • Contribute to strategy discussions and support partnership development.
  • Build Community of Practice with fundraisers and deliver training calls.
  • Support delivery of Faith and Membership Workshop.
Reporting To

The Partnership Specialist (Foundations), based in Geneva.

Working Place

Geneva, Switzerland (flexible work arrangements may apply).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Advanced university degree in international development, fundraising, marketing, theology/religious studies.
  • Or first level university degree plus two years of relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years in fundraising or partnerships, with at least two years working with faith or membership organization.
  • Experience managing high-value relationships with faith or membership-based organizations.
  • Experience supporting Asia Pacific and Northern Europe markets is an asset.
  • UNICEF/UN experience is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Strong customer service approach, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database usage is an asset.
  • Developing country work experience and familiarity with emergencies is an asset.
Language Requirements
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Knowledge of another UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
