Hub Engagement Manager

We're seeking an experienced Hub Engagement Manager to join NRC Switzerland on a 50% basis. This exciting opportunity combines project delivery, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships, ideal for an energetic, highly organised and relationship‑focused professional.

• Hub engagement and coordination – Identify opportunities to build an engaging Hub space, promote the Humanitarian Hub Initiative across Geneva-based actors, proactively engage NGOs, networks, UN agencies and other stakeholders to communicate about the project, seek synergies, contribute to external fundraising and develop an effective communication strategy.
• Grants and project management – Coordinate implementation of the grant to ensure timely delivery in line with workplans and budget, anticipate implementation challenges and advise on adjustments, maintain grant tracking tools and documentation for reporting and audit, act as liaison between programme, operations and finance, organise kick‑off, review and close‑out meetings, provide guidance to strengthen grant management capacity, and coordinate engagement with external actors involved in the grant.
• Budget monitoring – Monitor project budgets (non‑staff costs) with budget holders and finance, ensure financial reporting is accurate and aligned with programme progress and donor requirements.
• Donor communication and reporting – Serve as the main contact for day‑to‑day donor communication, coordinate and quality‑assure donor reports, support donor briefings, strategic communications and additional fundraising efforts.

• Advanced university degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian and/or development sector.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in French an advantage.
• Strong organisational and project coordination skills and ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Proficiency in Salesforce or similar software a plus.
• Well‑documented professional experience with institutional and/or private donors in grants management, reporting, budgets monitoring and compliance.
• Experience in monitoring and evaluation, including developing and reporting against logical frameworks.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.
• In‑depth understanding of the Geneva‑based humanitarian and policy landscape, key UN agencies, NGOs, donors and coordination fora.
• Strong networking, representational and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders to advance strategic objectives.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication and outreach approaches, positioning initiatives, and fundraising.

  Grade 8 on NRC’s Resident salary scale, with accompanying terms and conditions.
