Job title - Project Lead, Chemistry and Process Science (81499)
Location – Meyrin and La Plaine, Geneva, Switzerland
Join our Chemistry and Process Sciences team at DSM-Firmenich as Project Lead, where you'll play a pivotal role in accelerating innovation by addressing operational challenges and bottlenecks, driving change and identifying opportunities to work differently. Effective communication, collaboration with key stakeholders and an exceptionally strong drive will be essential to your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with C&PS Leaders to drive key initiatives (40%):
- Assist SVP on selected initiatives.
- Organize leadership meetings, write minutes and ensure follow‑up.
- Define and manage C&PS information collection and communication channels.
- Collect OPEX and CAPEX bottom‑up data from leaders and ensure timely consolidation.
- Drive operational excellence for C&PS (60%):
- Key point of contact for HSE teams in OPS and S&R to ensure co‑creation and deployment of safety road maps.
- Identify and drive projects to solve equipment and real estate challenges, in collaboration with Project Engineer, C&PS members, Grew and DT.
- Rationalize equipment fleet and utilization by identifying synergies.
- Being part of an interdisciplinary Science & Research team of industry‑leading researchers with a state‑of‑the‑art equipped research facility.
- Work in continuous dialogue with colleagues in science, technology, operations and HSE.
- Become part of a diverse and highly innovative and international Science & Research team.

- Master’s, Engineering or PhD degree preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or at least 10 years of professional experience in chemistry R&D or manufacturing.
- Proven track record of enhancing operational excellence and effectively managing complex cross‑functional relationships.
- Fluent in French, with a strong command of English.
- Highly motivated, self‑directed, and results‑oriented.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
