Senior Telecom Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Telecom Technician to join their operational team in George . In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications equipment and infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of network services for our customers. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, practical skills, and a commitment to providing excellent service.

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications hardware and software systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to prevent service disruptions.
• Respond to and resolve network faults and customer service issues promptly and efficiently.
• Perform cable testing , splicing, and termination for fiber optic and copper networks.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and network configurations accurately.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Telecom Technician or in a similar field.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems, including fiber optics, copper cabling, and related hardware.
• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in George .
