Field Service Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team in George . This role involves hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated industrial equipment at client sites. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment operates at peak performance, providing essential technical expertise, and fostering strong client relationships. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, capable of working independently and effectively communicating technical solutions.

This position offers a blend of on-site work and the flexibility of some remote coordination, contributing to the company's reputation for excellence in service delivery within the Western Cape region.

• Install, configure, and commission new equipment at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to prevent downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, both mechanical and electrical.
• Provide on-site training and technical support to client personnel.
• Document all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and client interactions.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on product improvements and feedback from the field.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and interpretation of technical manuals/blueprints.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
• Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region and occasionally beyond.
• A relevant technical qualification or trade certification is highly desirable.
