Make a meaningful impact beyond the traditional clinic setting. As a C/S Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in advancing community oral health by delivering high‑quality preventive and therapeutic care in both clinical and community‑based environments. In this dynamic role, you will engage with diverse populations, provide personalized oral health education, and help improve access to care for underserved communities.
This position requires travel to schools and community events throughout New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties.
Essential Functions- Provides clinical oral hygiene services including but not limited to dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application, fluoride application, x‑rays, and dental impressions.
- Conducts initial mouth screening, checks oral health history, and conducts oral cancer screenings.
- Maintains patient documentation, paper charts, and electronic dental records. Records patient‑hygienist transactions so that the dental record accurately reflects the nature of the contact and the care or treatment provided.
- Provides preventative oral health education to patients either in person or virtually.
- Assists the Dentist with appropriate treatments and performs independent procedures as delegated and directed by a dentist in accordance with state regulations and law.
- Sterilizes dental equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
- Maintains the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) Log.
- Possession of a Delaware Dental Hygienist License or eligibility for a Delaware license.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked, cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non‑pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits. This posting may be closed on or before 11/10/2026 upon filling the vacant position(s).

Sessions are held at designated locations in Kent or New Castle County.
