Job Summary / Objective
The Accounting Manager leads all financial operations for the organization, ensuring accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and strong financial stewardship. This role oversees the accounting function, drives process improvements, and partners with cross‑functional leaders to support strategic decision‑making. This is a working Manager role with no direct reports but you'll have to opportunity to build your own processes in order to be as efficient as possible.
A Sr. Financial Analyst/Accountant looking to take the next step in their career can also be considered.
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Direct the preparation of accurate, timely monthly financial statements
- Provide monthly forecasts and forward‑looking financial insights
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department leaders
- Communicate financial results and key metrics to division and corporate leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve financial and operational performance
- Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and develop reporting tools and metrics
Review manufacturing and cost data; translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Maintain state sales tax compliance and ensure timely reporting
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
- Uphold high standards of integrity, work ethic, and professionalism
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and a structured, rational approach to problem‑solving
- Ability to collaborate with non‑finance teams and explain financial concepts clearly
- Proactive, organized, and detail‑oriented self‑starter
- Solid understanding of financial metrics and working knowledge of GAAP
- Consistent, reliable attendance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, corporate finance, or related areas
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Experience with Quickbooks Desktop is highly preferred
