**** Our Operations Group in Newport is looking to welcome a Machinist to fabricate bundles to excellent standards and specifications. You will collaborate with the team within our Manufacturing Group on a 12-hour shift. You will partner closely with the Production Supervisor.
** Responsibilities
* ** Prepare, set up, and operate CNC machines for prototyping and production
* Perform manual milling and lathe operations to support project goals
* Understand and work with specifications, drawings, job orders (Oracle & File Maker), work instructions, recipes and procedures
* Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
* Ensure quality through attentive quality checks and adjustments
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams
* Maintain inventory of completed products, ensuring WIP build up in area is managed properly
* Fabricate products to uphold excellent quality standards and support our customers' needs
* Complete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis.
* Guide first-line troubleshooting such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed
* Support and uphold the Company’s safety and environmental standards:
* Maintain a clean and organized work area Help ensure the proper disposal of waste materials
* Contribute actively to safety improvement programs
* Support and uphold all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance and proper on the job conduct
* This position is shift work on a 12 hour Schedule, either dedicated day or nights## ___________________## ## Are you a MATCH?

* 3+ years Industrial Machining experience, preferably on CNC lathes
