The Loop Roots Foundation is a nonprofit, tax‑exempt organization dedicated to supporting justice‑impacted families through transportation, therapy, and technology‑driven programs. Our mission is to remove the physical, financial, and emotional barriers that prevent families from maintaining meaningful connections with incarcerated loved ones, accessing mental health care, or navigating reentry. Founded in 2025, the Loop Roots Foundation operates nationally, with an initial focus on underserved communities in Maryland, Arizona, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, California, and Virginia.

Our key initiatives include

• Loop Connect – A ride credit sponsorship platform that provides free or subsidized rides to prison visitation facilities, allowing families to stay in contact during incarceration.
• Loop Talk – A HIPAA‑compliant virtual therapy program offering trauma‑informed mental health care to justice‑impacted individuals and caregivers, including children.
• Loop Troop Rideshare Partnership – We collaborate with the Loop Troop Rideshare platform to ensure families have access to safe, reliable, and culturally competent transportation services.

Title: Venture & Strategic Partnerships Associate (Volunteer – Pre‑Seed Stage)

Organization: Loop Roots Foundation (in partnership with Loop Troop)

Location: Remote (U.S. preferred, Phoenix‑based candidates a plus)

Time Commitment: 20–25 hours per week

Loop Roots Foundation is seeking a highly motivated Venture & Strategic Partnerships Associate to support the expansion of our transportation access initiatives in partnership with Loop Troop, a for‑profit rideshare platform designed to improve access for families impacted by incarceration.

This role is ideal for someone interested in venture capital, startups, and social impact who wants hands‑on experience in early‑stage fundraising and growth strategy.

Loop Troop and Loop Roots operate as separate entities. Loop Roots drives access through community programs, while Loop Troop provides the transportation platform and infrastructure. This role will support venture fundraising and strategic growth for the transportation platform while working closely with nonprofit‑driven partnerships.

• Build and manage a pipeline of venture capital firms, angel investors, and impact funds
• Conduct research on pre‑seed and seed‑stage investors aligned with mobility, logistics, and social impact
• Support development and refinement of investor pitch materials and presentations
• Assist with outreach strategy, email drafting, and meeting preparation
• Identify and research strategic partnership opportunities (nonprofits, agencies, institutions)
• Help articulate the relationship between Loop Troop (for‑profit) and Loop Roots Foundation (nonprofit) in investor‑facing materials
• Track investor interactions, outreach progress, and follow‑ups

• Strong interest in venture capital, startups, or fundraising
• Background in business, finance, entrepreneurship, consulting, or related fields
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple work streams
• Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative
• Bonus Experience with pitch decks, financial modeling, or investor outreach

• Direct exposure to venture capital fundraising and investor relations
• Hands‑on experience working with a founder on a pre‑seed/seed‑stage raise
• Insight into building a venture‑backed transportation platform
• Opportunity to contribute to a mission‑driven initiative with national impact
• Letter of recommendation and potential for future paid or equity‑based role
