Registered Nurse (RN)Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, a Nurse Manager, or a Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising patient care on the nursing unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching post‑hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Additional duties may be assigned as requested, and Charge Nurse responsibilities require ACLS certification.
Educationand Training
• Current RN licensure in the state where the hospital resides or exempt compact licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; AHA–approved.
• Charge Nurses must maintain current ACLS certification.
One year of inpatient medical‑surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
