Summary StatementThe Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at the Adams State Service Center Public Health Clinic will provide comprehensive physical examinations, preventive health services, and prescribe treatments and lab orders. Services include tuberculosis prevention, child health, immunizations, adult health, sexual and reproductive health, and participation in community vaccination clinics and disaster response. The APRN may also offer services at other locations in Delaware to support operational needs.
EssentialFunctions
- Provides or evaluates direct nursing care.
- Develops, implements, and reviews nursing care plans.
- Provides health‑care instruction and guidance to individuals, families, community groups, and nursing home facilities.
- Maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the treatment team.
- Prepares and submits records, reports, evaluations, and forms.
- Participates in and makes recommendations regarding quality assurance activities.
- Possession of a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license or temporary permit in the specialty area of Family Nurse Practitioner.
All new hires are required to attend an in‑person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment, held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Delaware participates in E‑Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I‑9 information to confirm U.S. work authorization.
