Assistant Groundskeeper

Job Description

Sandhill Fields is seeking a hardworking, energetic, and motivated individual to join our team as a Head Groundskeeper. This position plays a key role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and quality of one of the region’s premier sports facilities. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to lead by example.

• Maintain athletic fields and facility grounds to a high standard
• Perform mowing, trimming, landscaping, and turf maintenance
• Line fields for games, practices, and tournaments
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment
• Assist with tournament and event setup/breakdown
• Supervise and help manage grounds crew staff
• Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and professional year-round
• Assist with seasonal projects and general facility maintenance

• Preferred experience in irrigation, landscaping, sports turf, or grounds maintenance
• Leadership or crew management experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift equipment and perform physical labor
• Flexible schedule, including weekends during events and tournaments
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
