Security Officer Credential Review in Georgetown, DE. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, respond to alarms, and support security-related operations at a government location. This access control role combines strong customer service, communication, and visible presence to help discourage incidents while assisting visitors and staff. This role offers scheduling flexibility and opportunities to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Pay Rate: $17.34 / Hour

Schedule:

Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures and access control protocols, and perform appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entrances and exits, verify identification and credentials, and deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns through established channels.
• Assist employees, visitors, and contractors with entry procedures, directions, and general support while maintaining professional communication and adherence to post instructions.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
