Residential HVAC Installer
Location:
Georgetown, DE
Sobieski New Homes, a division of J. F. Sobieski Mechanical Contractors, is seeking a full‑time Residential New Construction HVAC Installer. This role performs quality installations of heating and cooling systems in residential new construction and trains HVAC helpers.
About UsSobieski New Homes is part of a $100 million mechanical contracting company serving Delaware, South‑Eastern PA, Virginia, and Maryland. We partner with builders for HVAC, sheet metal, and plumbing installation in residential new construction.
Responsibilities- Install residential HVAC systems in new homes.
- Assist and train HVAC helpers on installation techniques.
- Ensure work meets state codes and company quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers and construction trade teammates.
- Maintain own hand‑tools and safety equipment.
- Licensed journeyman HVAC (preferred) or 3+ years of new home construction experience.
- Knowledge of applicable state codes.
- Hands‑on knowledge of residential HVAC construction.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather, heights, and tight spaces.
- Own hand tools typically used by HVAC mechanics.
