Delivery Propane Driver

Overview

This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. The role also requires a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward safety, sales, customer service and employee teamwork. Overtime is possible in the heating season. Deliveries may be made in all types of weather and driving conditions.

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.

• Prior gas delivery experience helpful
• CDL Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
• Excellent customer service skills
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements
• Employee must be capable of frequently lifting cylinders weighing 40-50 pounds
• Must have a Hazmat license
• Minimum 2-year CDL license
