Financial Associate/Administrative Professional 1

Location:

10220 Burr Oak Lodge Road, Glouster, Ohio 45732 (Division of Parks & Watercraft, Morgan County).

Responsibilities
  • Performs fiscal related duties for multiple parks (e.g., prepares, compiles, processes & verifies statistical, financial, accounting &/or auditing information for accounts payable & receivable).
  • Performs accounting duties (e.g., contacts suppliers to obtain or relay account information, accesses financial information to answer general questions or account specific questions).
  • Provides administrative & secretarial support for Burr Oak State Park by performing administrative tasks (e.g., produces memos/forms, coordinates daily workflow of the office, serves as liaison between management & staff).
  • Coordinates business functions for Burr Oak State Park (e.g., monitors budget, travel, lodging, vendor set-up, expense reports, payroll & timekeeping, vehicle maintenance).
  • Performs point-of-sale transactions (i.e., state & private dock transactions, boat & motor registrations, activity fees, permits, & licenses).
Benefits
  • Starting hourly pay of $22.96/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $27.92/hr.
  • May also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied.
  • Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

May be required to work long or unusual hours during peak operational periods.

Qualifications

18 mos. experience or training in accounting and/or finance, including basic spreadsheet software proficiency.

  • Completion of a high school technical program in accounting; 6 mos. experience or training in accounting or finance, including basic spreadsheet software proficiency.
  • Completion of an associate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
