Plans Room Student Assistant

Position Summary:

Position will include document management for paper and electronic records including blueprints, maps, specifications, and O&M manuals. Basic clerical duties such as file management, general organization of paper documents, printing, and scanning of construction documents. Position may also involve AutoCAD support and customer support in the plans room.

Responsibilities
  • Customer support with document and information searches.
  • Plansroom maintenance and organization.
  • Converting blueprint images to PDF.
  • Archiving documents.
  • Scanning documents.
  • Other clerical duties.
Qualifications
  • AutoCAD experience or training.
  • Read and understanding construction and renovation documents (desirable).
Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including electronic file management.
  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook email interface.
  • Basic photography skills using a digital camera.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and PDF editors.
Physical Demands
  • Sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Climbing ladders.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
