Description

Transwest is seeking a Cashier at our Denver, CO location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a professional, customer service oriented attitude and exhibit a friendly, poised demeanor through first line of contact with the public and our employees. The Cashier will be responsible for a wide variety of clerical tasks.

Essentials

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greet customers.
  • Collect payments (cash and/or credit and Check).
  • Processing Refunds
  • Working closely with Accounting
  • Loaner and rental car Assistance
  • Safe Handling of Cash
  • Filing.
  • RO Scanning
  • Partial Closing of Tickets
  • Communicating with porters on pickups
  • Closing Repair Orders
  • Cash Schedule Managing
  • GMM Schedule Managing
  • Isuzu Warranty Schedule Managing
  • Collecting 3rd party warranty payments
  • Making appt for customers
  • Receptionist duties as needed.
  • Following up with customer on completes tickets
  • Filling in at the front desk or switchboard as needed.
  • Assist the Parts, Service and Warranty departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.
Work Environment & Physical Abilities
  • Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing or bending for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.
Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good standing MVR.
  • Superior communication skills both in person and over the phone.
  • 1+ year of solid administrative experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Cashier experience is a plus.
  • Automotive/truck dealership experience is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post‑offer background check, physical and drug screening.
