- Reviews & processes sealing & expungement orders.
- Retrieves & refiles records.
- Performs data entry related to sealing & expungement of court orders, applying relevant statutory & procedural rules to determine if sealing or expungement can be completed.
- Acquires additional information necessary to evaluate sealing & expungement requests, entry of sealing & expungement related information into the criminal history system of record.
- Coordinates with & assists other staff whose work relates to the sealing or expungement of records.
- Communicates with local government agencies relating to the sealing & expungement of records.
- Email, telephonic, & virtual communication with local government personnel necessary to obtain information & records necessary to process sealing & expungement requests in a professional manner.
- Responding to external inquiries regarding sealing & expungement of records.
- Documenting correspondences & following up on requests for records or information.
- Completing peer review of work relating to sealing & expungement orders.
- Assisting with training & onboarding of employees.
- Answering questions relating to sealing & expungement of records.
- Assisting leadership with maintaining & updating processes, procedures, & materials related to the sealing & expungement of records.
- Attending training & instruction necessary to classify, identify, & file incoming fingerprint cards associated with sealing orders & expungement orders.
Formal education in writing and speaking common English vocabulary; 12 months experience or 12 months training in working with Computerized Criminal Histories (CCH) or equivalent;
Knowledge of sealing & expungement documents & process & successful completion of sealing & expungement skill review assessment; strong typing skills.
