The Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN) regulates more than 330,000 licenses and certificates. OBN licenses and regulates Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Advanced Practice Nurses (APRNs), Dialysis Technicians (DTs), Community Health Workers (CHWs) and Medication Aides (MA-Cs). OBN’s top priorities are to efficiently license the nursing workforce and remove unsafe practitioners from practice in a timely manner to protect Ohio patients.

The Ohio Board of Nursing is recruiting for a PART‑TIME Administrative Professional 4 position for our Compliance Team.
This position provides high‑level administrative support to executive staff and program leads, coordinating Board Meeting Compliance, assisting legal hearings, and supporting communications and media efforts.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining filing systems, ensuring necessary supplies are ordered and available, and processing weekly mailings to Board Members.
- Assisting with Board meeting preparation and follow‑up, including compiling materials, sending Board Disciplinary documents, preparing envelopes for certified mail, and creating agendas for the Compliance, Legal and Educational Unit.
- Producing routine and non‑routine correspondence as directed and updating materials as needed.
- Answering phones, providing basic information regarding unit matters, returning calls, taking voicemail, delivering messages, sorting mail, and coordinating special mailings.
- Maintaining the eLicense system for Board Meeting actions.
- Relieving supervisors of routine administrative duties related to hearings, such as preparing legal and procedural documents, coordinating scheduling, notifying parties, transcribing hearing minutes, drafting correspondence, managing public record requests, and handling calendar scheduling and travel arrangements for Hearing Examiners.
- Independently composing and proofreading consent agreements, hearing letters, and other documents related to Ohio Revised Code (ORC) Chapter 119 hearings for review by supervisor and/or adjudication coordinators.
- Maintaining records of certified mail and case and discipline files associated with administrative hearings pursuant to ORC Chapter 119.
- Assisting with creating, curating, and publishing content for internal updates, public announcements, and media outlets; designing visual communications (e.g., flyers, infographics), and posting updates on websites and social media platforms.
- Responding to basic policy inquiries and redirecting more complex questions to appropriate staff.
