Construction Safety Coordinator; Jeffersonville, OH

Position: Safety Coordinator
Reports to: Safety Manager
Location: Jeffersonville, Ohio
Pay Range: $32 - $45 per hour (Eligible for overtime)

We consider several factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates.

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the General Contractor and other trade partners
• Assist with the collection of safety records following training sessions
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses
• Signing daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules & regulations
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities completed, and issues, etc.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends, i.e. meeting the latest safety standards and establishing new ones from time‑to‑time as newer risks are discovered
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• You’re a natural at conflict resolution and are calm under pressure
• You’re able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive information

• Required:
  
  You have at least 1 year of safety experience in construction OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)

  You have certification in First Aid/CPR
• Required:
  
  You have completed the OSHA 10‑hour construction training course

  You have completed the OSHA 30‑hour construction training course

  You have a safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., CHST) or are actively working toward certification

  You have experience in electrical construction
