The Superintendent 2 will help plan, manage and execute on all aspects of assigned projects with some complexity. This position will be responsible for managing material and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete and meeting project goals to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.
Key Responsibilities – Core- Lead all aspects of the company's safety culture and demonstrate commitment to an injury‑free environment.
- Provide management of subcontractors and organize overall job workflow.
- Manage and oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs such as Safety, Quality and EEO.
- Develop work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
- Coordinate and manage site custody and control.
- Lead daily stand‑up, weekly trade meetings, and other project meetings.
- Create, manage, change and implement the project's schedule as needed.
- Track and monitor project budget and costs using the project management system.
- Communicate key project information to owners, design team, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments.
- Maintain project filing and documentation; update drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks.
- Approve or record unit cost information for weekly reports and complete daily reports, logs and tracking reports.
- Evaluate progress on self‑perform work and adjust as needed.
- Manage material and equipment needs for the project.
- Support MOC and DLSC procurement and approval processes.
- Assist in selecting formwork, tools and equipment for self‑perform operations.
- Approve timecard process to ensure accurate hours and proper cost codes.
- Ensure quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC standards.
- Support project closeouts by supervising pre‑punch activities and coordinating with owner, architect and authorities.
- Participate in field operations leadership and project team pre‑plan development.
- Partner with field leadership to establish field staffing for assigned projects.
- Partner with project management to identify schedule and cost implications of project changes.
- Negotiate project changes with owner and architect.
- Prepare and present for all project review meetings, including monthly reviews.
- Participate in buy‑out meetings with subcontractors and vendors.
- Understand and apply terms and conditions of owner and subcontractor contracts.
- Identify and recruit top talent.
- Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion; implement non‑discrimination policies.
- Manage fairly complex stand‑alone projects from start to finish.
- Assume responsibility for management, scheduling, production, safety and quality on own project or portion of a larger project.
- Identify, understand and actively manage project risks.
- Utilize experience to identify problems and recommend solutions.
- Manage deliverables from internal resources and functions such as IPS, logistics, etc.
- Participate in project pursuits.
- Negotiate project changes with owner and architect.
- Perform work accurately, completely and timely.
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate presentation skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.
- Apply fundamentals of construction management to projects.
- Knowledge of project processes and successful completion.
- Build relationships with team members.
- Intermediate proficiency in project management and accounting software.
- Intermediate proficiency in JE Dunn construction technology.
- Intermediate proficiency in scheduling software.
- Apply Lean process and philosophy.
- Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.

- Manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through relationships.
- Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources.
- Knowledge of layout skills.
- Knowledge of crane flagging and rigging.
- Understand document changes and impact on project schedule.
- Build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.
