Admissions Counselor

Job Description

This position is responsible for a full range of student recruitment activities including but not limited to: facilitation of the application process, campus visit events, evening and /or weekend recruitment travel, meetings with prospective student/families, involvement in professional associations, presentations to large groups, and tele-recruiting.

• Perform duties as workload necessitates with professionalism
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude
• Maintain highest level of confidentiality
• Communicate regularly with supervisor about Department issues
• Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Consistently report to work on time prepared to perform duties of position
• Meet Department productivity standards and goals

• Recruit talented students in your assigned territory to grow enrollment at GC
• Connect with prospective students and families as their guide throughout the college search journey
• Deliver engaging presentations that showcase what makes GC special
• Review applications thoughtfully and identify students who will thrive here
• Travel for recruitment – represent us at high schools, college fairs, and community events
• Communicate across platforms – reach students where they are through phone, email, text, and social media
• Bring campus to life – support daily visits, large events, and special programs that create memorable experiences

This job has no supervisory responsibilities
