Work Hours:

3 hrs/day

• Has a high school diploma or G.E.D.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Has demonstrated the ability or potential to communicate and work effectively with students, parents/guardians, and staff.

Principal

Job Goal:
Supervise the cafeteria during lunchtime

• Be familiar with, communicate, and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities
• Communicate and facilitate cafeteria expectations to students, staff, and guests
• Circulate through cafeteria for approximately two (2) hours
• Responsible to ensure the tables and chairs are clean and ready for the next class
• Assist students and guests in finding appropriate seating
• Actively monitor and manage the conduct and manners of students
• Notify the principal when extreme misconduct occurs
• Be aware of and assist students with specific needs based on physical and/or mental constraints
• Assist students in opening milk cartons, thermos, etc.
• Remind children, when necessary, to leave eating area clean and orderly
• Assist students in lining up when lunch period is over and communicate with classroom teacher the behavior of their class on a daily basis
• Report to the principal any ideas or suggestions for improving the dining pleasure of all
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Length of school year not to exceed 175 pupil attendance days, 4 holidays and 1 in‑service day
