Adjunct Instructor, Mechanical Engineering (POOL Posting)
The Russ College of Engineering and Technology’s Mechanical Engineering Department at Ohio University has an occasional need for adjunct instructors to teach or co‑teach classes for engineering students. Classes are primarily offered in a face‑to‑face mode, though some may be taught online. Adjuncts typically work as temporary, semester‑based instructors on a rolling basis to fill positions for fall and spring 2025‑2026 and summer 2026.

• Position is a temporary, coalition‑based role that requires teaching at the undergraduate level. Adjunct instructors may cover specialized electives, professional or leadership‑related courses, or fundamental engineering courses. The role includes leading class sessions, grading student work, participating in course assessment activities, and responding to student questions in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor of Science in an engineering, science, or technology field (or a similar degree). Preferred
Qualification:
Master’s degree in an engineering, science, or related field.
