The Department of Counseling and Higher Education in the Patton College of Education at Ohio University invites applications for part‑time, non‑tenure Track (Group III) instructional positions. Potential course openings in the Counselor Education programs are available for the Spring and Summer semesters of the 2025‑2026 academic year.

Job Title: POOL Posting – Instructor, Counseling and Higher Education (Non‑Tenure Track)
Instructors selected from this pool will teach courses within the Department of Counseling and Higher Education. Courses may include foundations of counseling, group counseling, ethics, assessment, multicultural counseling, career counseling, practicum or internship supervision, and other program‑specific offerings as departmental needs dictate. Courses may be delivered online, in‑person, or hybrid.
Minimum Qualifications- Doctoral degree in Counselor Education (preferably from a CACREP‑accredited program) or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience teaching or supervising counseling students.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Experience teaching in higher education counseling programs.
- Familiarity with CACREP accreditation standards.
- Willingness to teach across multiple modalities (online, hybrid, in person).
Eligible for sick leave and retirement benefits.
Employment TypeTemporary (Group III only) – 4‑month instructional commitment.
