Director for Enrollment and Student Affairs

The Director for Enrollment and Student Affairs serves as a senior administrative leader responsible for the strategic direction, development, and oversight of enrollment management and student affairs functions for the University of Georgia School of Nursing. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of services and programs that support student recruitment, admissions, retention, progression, and the overall student experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent plus 12 years of professional experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in higher education, academic health sciences, or nursing education.
  • Proficiency with enrollment management systems such as Slate.
  • Track record of supporting new program development or institutional growth initiatives.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Enrollment Management and Admissions Leadership
    • Provide strategic leadership for recruitment, admissions, and enrollment across all School of Nursing programs.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive enrollment strategies to meet institutional goals related to student quality and program growth.
    • Collaborate closely with the School of Nursing communications and marketing team to shape recruitment messaging, brand positioning, and outreach strategies.
    • Monitor and analyze enrollment data, trends, and key performance indicators.
    • Oversee implementation and optimization of enrollment management systems.
    • Percentage of time: 30%
  • Student Affairs Administration
    • Lead and oversee all student affairs operations, including organizational structure, staffing, and resource allocation.
    • Develop, implement, and enforce policies related to student conduct, progression, and academic standing.
    • Ensure compliance with university policies and accreditation standards.
    • Serve as the senior point of contact for complex student issues, grievances, and appeals.
    • Percentage of time: 20%
  • Academic Advising and Student Success
    • Provide leadership and oversight for academic advising services, supervising Academic Advisors.
    • Establish advising models and processes that support retention, progression, and timely degree completion.
    • Direct the development and implementation of student success initiatives such as tutoring, mentoring, and academic support services.
    • Ensure coordination of student support resources including disability accommodations, wellness services, and financial aid guidance.
    • Monitor student outcomes and implement data‑informed interventions.
    • Percentage of time: 20%
  • Student Engagement and Experience
    • Lead development of co‑curricular programs and student engagement initiatives.
    • Oversee student organizations, leadership development, and professional development programming.
    • Direct planning and execution of student‑focused events, including orientation, ceremonies, and recognition activities.
    • Foster a supportive and engaging student environment aligned with the school’s mission and values.
    • Percentage of time: 15%
  • Strategic Planning, Operations, and Assessment
    • Contribute to strategic planning related to enrollment growth and student success.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators and assessment plans for enrollment and student affairs functions.
    • Prepare reports and analyses for the Founding Dean and University leadership.
    • Collaborate with academic leadership on enrollment planning, course scheduling, and student progression processes.
    • Maintain student‑facing academic materials, including handbooks, policies, and program documentation.
    • Percentage of time: 15%
