We are seeking Education Assistant Special Needs (EASN) for permanent and fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time vacancies that may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
EASN’s play a vital role in supporting students from a range of backgrounds to access their educational programs. This role is suited to people with a passion and care for supporting students through unique and at times challenging circumstances.
You will work collaboratively with peers and follow teacher direction to meet student needs in a 1:1 setting, small group, or larger class environment. Success will depend on problem‑solving and communication skills, the ability to think proactively, and applying knowledge of students with disabilities respectfully.

Required Documentation- A CV of up to two (2) pages outlining your employment history and professional learning summary relevant to this position.
- A three (3) page statement addressing the following selection criteria as outlined in the attached JDF:
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills, including report writing and the ability to effectively interact with students with special needs, and liaise with parents, teachers and community members.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to a professional team and provide advice and evaluation in the development of the education programme, including special education and therapy programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to assist professionals in the implementation and evaluation of education programmes, including special education and, if required, occupational and/or physiotherapy programmes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
- Demonstrated effective organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective education programmes and subsequent feedback and evaluation to teachers or psychologists.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and well‑being of students.
