Job Title:
Electrical Field Engineer
Location: 40324 Georgetown, KY
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5 to 10 years of experience, with an ideal candidate having 5+ years in construction management (Industrial/Commercial Building experience)
- Experience with automotive engines, transmissions, vehicle facilities, or similar industrial manufacturing
- 5+ years in electrical design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate electrical building system design, startups, and commissioning activities
- Review product and equipment submittals, shop drawings, engineering design drawings, specifications, and RFIs
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements, including Lock-Out, Electrical Safe Work Practices, Control of Hazardous Energy, and arc flash safety
- Maintain extensive knowledge of building codes and industry standards (e.g., IBC, NEC, NESC, NFPA, ASME, AMCA, ARI, AWS, ASHRAE, FM)
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for testing, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover
- Manage weekend and plant shutdown work coordination
- Conduct work progress inspections and support construction administration activities
- Inspect electrical systems for compliance with specifications and codes
- Oversee electrical contractors’ work, ensuring adherence to schedules and project standards
- Prepare field engineering reports on work progress and schedules
- Contribute to improving project standards and specifications
- Communicate technical information effectively, both written and verbal
- Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
