Logistics Engineer

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring a Logistics Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, Kentucky.

This is a 12 month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $35/hr - $45/hr.

Toyota’s Manufacturing Business Operations group for Internal Logistics Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support MBO-Internal Logistics Engineering projects and work with cross-functional groups. Reporting to the Internal Logistics Manager, the person in this role will support the Internal Logistics Engineering department's objective to optimize the Toyota North America supply chain by balancing the requirements of External Logistics, Production Engineering Planning and Manufacturing Groups to develop the most efficient internal delivery process.

• Lead cross functional internal logistics projects, while working with Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America (TMNA) Engineering groups and North American Manufacturing Companies (NAMC) departments to troubleshoot and improve parts flow issues.
• Challenge and break down the ideal situation and current systems in pursuit of establishing the optimal business process to improve supply chain performance using efficient problem solving and countermeasure development.
• Develop and execute strategy to communize and consolidate supply chain data / KPI reflecting internal delivery, routing and returns handling performance to facilitate daily process management and problem solving.
• Collaborate directly with NAMC departments and Pilot Engineers to confirm process requirements, equipment & infrastructure development and system compliance requirements.
• Supporting and leading installation of Internal Logistics equipment, both automated and manual delivery.
• Support NAPSC activity (training and testing).

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent professional work experience.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ domestically and internationally.
• Based out of TMMMS at Blue Springs, MS but also supporting other NAMCs. May spend significant time at MTMUS and TMMAL in Huntsville, AL along with other NAMC support.
• Work Authorization: H4 EAD, Green Card, US Citizen, TN Visa.

• AutoCAD Layout Design experience.
• Experience in Automation / Innovation Projects Installation.
• Material and Information Flow Chart training complete.
• TPS Fundamentals or experience.
