Field/Machine Technician (2 Positions Open)
SummaryWe are representing a specialized automotive systems integrator in Georgetown, KY. This division focuses on sales, maintenance support, and the installation of advanced paint system applications and equipment. We are seeking two technicians to handle project management, cost estimation, and on-site technical coordination at customer facilities across North America and internationally.
Project & Site ManagementOversee equipment installation and construction projects at end-user facilities, including managing subcontractors and on-site schedules.
Technical CoordinationCoordinate technical requirements between the Japanese parent company and local staff or contractors to ensure specifications are met.
Vendor & Customer ManagementConduct on-site inspections of painting booths, ovens, and conveyor systems while maintaining professional communication regarding project status.
Cost EstimationRequest and submit quotes from local vendors and the parent company for design, parts, and installation work.
Logistics & DocumentationCreate work completion reports, installation instructions, and specification reports while managing shipping arrangements and cost control.
Technical TroubleshootingUnderstand design technologies such as psychrometric charts, pressure loss in piping/ducts, and heat sources to ensure equipment efficiency.
Working Hours, Working StyleFull-time;
Requires a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends as project needs dictate.
Georgetown, KY, with approximately 40% or more travel to sites in Indiana, Mississippi, Texas, Canada, Mexico, and/or Japan.
Salary/BenefitSalary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year.

QualificationsExperience: Practical experience with manufacturing machines, conveyors, or robots and a strong understanding of production safety.
Technical
Skills:
Basic knowledge of sheet metal, welding methods, and material selection.
Software: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
Education/Training: Ability to select equipment (pumps, fans, valves) based on design conditions and openness to in-house technology training.
Language: Strong English skills;
Japanese language skills are considered a plus.
