I & E Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and all safety aspects in the execution of work.
• Complete field level risk assessments.
• Perform calibration checks of field instrumentation.
• Perform stroke test of pneumatic, hydraulic and motor-operated valves.
• Perform loop-tests and troubleshooting (I/O checking and troubleshooting).
• Wire fiber optic panels against IFC drawings and red-lining/as-building as required.
• Perform cause and effect matrix checks.
• Verify interlocks, alarms, and controls performance.
• Inspect installation against design documentation.
• Complete approved commissioning check sheets.
• Use calibration and testing instruments to inspect, test, troubleshoot and diagnose faults.
• Communicate design discrepancies and design issues.
• Adhere to HSE standards and comply with the Clients Company Health, Safety & Environment Management (HSEM) System requirements, taking reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
• Maintain company quality standards in accordance with the Company Quality System requirements.

• Valid Driver's License
• 3+ years of field operations experience in the oil/gas industry
• SCADA & PLC knowledge/experience preferred
• Ability/willingness to travel 10% of the time
• I&E maintenance and project experience
• Able to read P&IDs, ISOs, Plot Plans, etc.
• Extensive working knowledge of field operations, construction operations
• Ability to handle multiple projects
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, Word, Access, Excel, etc.
