Stamping Measurement Engineering Technician
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Stamping PE by measuring panels and dies using contact and non-contact measurement systems such as Atos scanners, Hexagon Absolute arm, Argus, and hand tool measurement. The role involves analyzing data output to ensure die and panel quality for current and future models.
Responsibilities- Measure stamping dies and identify gaps to targets.
- Measure A class, underbody, chassis stamping panels and sub-assemblies to determine statistical stamped panel quality for accuracy and formability.
- Conduct measurements for PxP and nominal fit vehicle analysis, including digital PxP.
- Provide technical expertise to analyze measurement data and make appropriate recommendations to Stamping PE and D/M on next steps.
- Utilize pre-production die development panel forming predictability using ARGUS analysis.
- Experience with polyworks, metrology, and catia.
- Proficiency with measurement tools and 3D scanning.
- Background in quality engineering, quality control, and quality assurance.
- 4-5 years of required metrology experience with a high school diploma OR an engineering degree with cooperative experience.
- Experience with Blue light/ATOS/Faro operation.
Skills & Qualifications
- Scanning experience.
- Experience with measurement arms.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools.
This position requires working on-site five days a week in Georgetown, KY. The role necessitates wearing steel-toed shoes, with safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and earplugs provided. The industry involves metrology, automotive, aerospace, and stamping. The position offers 10 PTO days and 9 paid holidays annually, with time-and-a-half compensation for hours worked over 40. Travel is required 25% of the time to locations in the US, Canada, and Mexico for meetings and observations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
