Automation Engineer

Pay Range: $70.00hr - $75.00hr

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience in a technical role.
• Experience with CAD or similar modeling software.
• Experience with spec development.
• Experience creating A3 and/or Ringi documents for equipment procurement.
• Ability to identify project constraints and develop effective countermeasures.
• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Evaluate and plan automation robots and expansion projects including process and layout design.
• Develop equipment specifications and standardization across North XX manufacturing centers.
• Support evaluation of equipment project proposals, including process and equipment capability assessments.
• Develop strategies and lead implementation for equipment deployment and standardization projects.
• Create presentations and reports to communicate project status and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Serve as an expert in multiple paint shop technologies and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
• Develop standards and RJs for new technologies and improve equipment specifications, including CoHE compliance.
• Lead specifications and development processes.

• PLC experience and knowledge.
• Conveyor experience and knowledge.
• MSRC and or Machine Risk Analysis Experience.
• Experience with new model introduction processes.
• Experience with paint shop booths, ovens, abatement systems, air houses, and enclosures.
• Experience in equipment maintenance.
• Experience in automation and/or robot programming.
• Experience with vision system evaluation, programming, and use cases.
