Senior Accountant

Location:

Georgetown, KY

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support plant finance operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and an efficient month-end close. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation, manufacturing experience, and the ability to partner effectively across operations and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assisting plant accounting, including general ledger activity, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.

+ Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reviewing financial results, and ensuring accurate cost center reporting.

+ Oversee AR/AP activity, investigate discrepancies, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.

+ Manage fixed assets, including capital spend tracking, project documentation, and capitalization processes.

+ Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventory, and analysis of perpetual balances.

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.

+ Maintain documentation and internal controls to support audit and compliance requirements (including SOX).

+ Prepare intercompany and directed supply reporting; provide payroll backup support as needed.

+ Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and financial visibility.

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

+ Experience in manufacturing or plant finance strongly preferred

+ Strong understanding of general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting

+

Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and fixed assets

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
