Position: Part-Time Float Teller (M/T/Th/S) - Ada

Overview

The Teller is the face of LMCU, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming member experience while accurately processing a high volume of transactions. This position requires a strong focus on service excellence, member retention, and promoting LMCU’s products and services to help all members achieve their financial goals. Tellers serve as the first line of defense to mitigate fraud and protect LMCU and its members.

Responsibilities
  • Member

    Experience:

    Promote a positive member experience, build trusting relationships, identify and address member needs, provide professional and efficient service, and resolve conflicts.
  • Transaction Processing and Cash Handling:
    Accurately perform basic and advanced teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, check cashing, check ordering, wire requests), maintain and balance a cash drawer daily, demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail, and comply with LMCU policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management:

    Demonstrate strong risk management practices, including fraud prevention guidelines and robbery procedures; identify red flags and conduct consultative conversations.
  • Product Promotion/Growth:
    Demonstrate knowledge of all LMCU products and services, present solutions to members’ financial needs, identify referral opportunities, and meet branch goals for referral and service targets.
  • Learning & Development:
    Continuously improve knowledge of LMCU products, services, policies and systems through training and self-development; educate members on digital platforms and emerging technology.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1-3 years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
  • Previous cash handling experience and knowledge of financial products and services preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); some college coursework or banking experience is a plus.
