This is the second in a series of three non-exempt Operations Specialist positions. A specialized position that coordinates and performs aspects of the financial cycle. The purpose is to process the University’s financial operations as well as departmental operations.
Qualifications- Minimum:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred:
Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping and business principles. - Proficiency in spreadsheet software and mainframe computer systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Audit financial documentation for approvals, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory entities – 45% of time.
- Accurately input data into the financial accounting system – 25% of time.
- Customer service: respond to inquiries from internal and external customers – 16% of time.
- Review and verify financial documentation – 10% of time.
- Generate QMF queries – 2% of time.
- Prepare journal vouchers – 2% of time.
- Sit and work at computer for extended amounts of time.
- No driving responsibility.
- No Position of Trust.
- No operation, access, or control of financial resources.
- No P‑Card required.
- No direct interaction with children under 18 or direct patient care.
- No security access to public safety, IT security, personnel records, patient records, or chemicals/medications.
