Position Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards. This role ensures safe radiopharmaceutical handling, accurate imaging, and effective communication with the care team to support high‑quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures following departmental protocols
  • Prepare, calculate, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
  • Verify patient identity, review clinical history, and ensure proper screening
  • Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images
  • Monitor patients for safety and comfort throughout procedures
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to radiation safety guidelines
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and other clinical staff
  • Perform equipment quality control and assist with daily operational tasks
Qualifications
  • CNMT certification required
  • Active state licensure as applicable
  • Prefer at least 2 years of recent nuclear medicine experience
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and radiopharmaceutical handling
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
