- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Radiography license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating advanced imaging equipment, monitoring patient safety, and ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards while collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver accurate diagnostic results.
Essential Work Functions- Educates patients about nuclear medicine procedures and addresses questions
- Maintains and inspects nuclear medicine equipment for proper functioning; reports malfunctions and ensures radiation safety compliance
- Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications according to protocols and safety standards
- Monitors patients for adverse reactions, intervening as necessary to ensure safety
- Operates medical imaging equipment to create images per physician orders
- Documents procedure details in patient records to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
- Follows hospital safety rules, policies, and radiation safety procedures to minimize exposure
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of Nuclear Medicine Technologist practice
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and competent PC skills
- Physical abilities – capable of remaining stationary, moving equipment (50–100lbs), pushing, pulling, and bending
- Interpersonal skills – able to work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Technical/motor skills – capable of fine manipulation and assisting with procedures
- Mental requirements – able to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, and maintain concentration on detail
- Sensory requirement – possessing visual acuity and effective communication ability

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation); tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
