Pharmacy Technician
GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the direction and supervision of the Pharmacist on duty, the Pharmacy Supervisor, and the Community Pharmacy Manager. The Pharmacy Technician's primary job function is to prepare and distribute medications. Performs quality control, routine maintenance and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
- Completion of a board approved Pharmacy Technician training program or National Certification required
Licensure:
- Successful completion of National Qualification test required (PTCB or NHA)
- For Ohio:
State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy Certified Technician Registration required - For Kentucky:
State of Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration Required
Experience:
- Pharmacy Technician training program or certification or prior technician work experience required.
