Must-Haves:

  • Associates Degree Required (Graduate of a Program Discipline in Radiology) verified by KY State license.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • If an employee has a temporary license, they must obtain ARRT or NMTCB certification within one year.
  • Nice-To-Haves:

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred.
  • Preference for candidates located in KY to avoid relocation.
  • Job Description:

    Essential Functions:

    • Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
    • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice when ordered. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
    • Prepares equipment and supplies, selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implements safety standards and quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
    • Positions patients and performs imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures. Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.
