Role Description: This full-time, on-site Physical Therapist Assistant role is located in Boardman, OH. The Physical Therapist Assistant will support licensed Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans, guiding patients through prescribed exercises, and monitoring progress toward rehabilitation goals. Daily responsibilities include preparing treatment areas, assisting with therapeutic modalities, documenting patient responses, and ensuring safe, effective care. The role also involves educating patients and families on home exercise programs, promoting proper body mechanics, and collaborating with the clinical team to optimize outcomes.

The Physical Therapist Assistant will uphold clinic standards, contribute to a positive patient experience, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation to effectively carry out treatment plans and support patients in restoring function.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Patient Care and Quality Patient Care to ensure safe, compassionate, and consistent clinical services.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge in Orthopedics to assist with musculoskeletal conditions and orthopedic rehabilitation programs.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program; current or eligible state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, document accurately in electronic or paper records, and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with healthcare documentation systems; prior outpatient or orthopedic experience is preferred.
