Job Description
This 6‑month contract position is for a configuration technician who will work on‑site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The role focuses on unboxing, imaging, packaging, and troubleshooting IT equipment for shipment to clients. It requires standing, lifting up to 60 lbs., carrying equipment, and may involve occasional local travel to client sites with mileage reimbursement.
Responsibilities- Perform pre‑configuration of equipment before shipment in a consistent and quality manner per documented instructions.
- Validate equipment pre‑configuration to ensure proper functionality.
- Follow written work instructions to efficiently provision and configure IT devices and prepare for deployment based on customer requirements.
- Conduct basic kitting of equipment according to customer needs.
- Unbox, re‑box, and process equipment for shipping.
- Clean, test, and inspect IT devices.
- Escalate technical or other issues to the immediate supervisor.
- Participate in internal departmental and project meetings.
- Offer suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel locally to client sites to drop off or pick up hardware when required, with mileage reimbursed.
The Configuration Center Technician Associate consistently follows documented processes to maintain a high degree of quality in the work product and customer satisfaction, completing all assigned work in a timely and cost‑efficient manner.

- High school diploma or GED; minimum one year of experience (preferred) or relevant training directly related to the duties.
- Valid driver’s license with fewer than six points to meet insurance requirements.
- Existing technical certifications preferred but not required.
- Expected to pursue appropriate certifications under supervisor guidance within the first year of employment.
Job requires lifting (up to 60 lbs.), carrying, standing, bending, and transporting IT equipment 50% of the time. Occasional use of basic tools, cleaning solutions, and disassembly/reassembly of components is required. Ability to type, work from a computer monitor, communicate written and verbally, and read basic work instructions is essential.
