The Technical Intern provides support to the Information Technology, Engineering, and Research & Development teams by assisting with technical projects, troubleshooting, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide hands‑on experience in a corporate environment while contributing meaningful work that supports Valvoline Global's technology operations and business objectives.
Responsibilities- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in hardware, software, or applications.
- Support system upgrades, testing, and implementation activities.
- Perform data entry, reporting, and analysis to support decision‑making.
- Collaborate with team members on technical documentation and process standardization.
- Participate in project meetings, contribute ideas, and help track deliverables.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend solutions where appropriate.
- Provide end‑user support under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, applications, and networking concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate within a team environment.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
