Sr. Field Adjuster, Homeowner Claims – Columbus, OH (Remote, with local travel)

Location:

Columbus, OH (Remote, with local travel required)

• Obtain and record required loss information from the insured.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle homeowner property and personal property claims, including adjustment to conclusion.
• Serve as the owning adjuster for all claims assigned at the Field Adjuster level.
• Progress to the competency level of a Level 5 Homeowner Adjuster.
• May be required to assign, coordinate, and oversee independent adjuster assignments.
• Investigate and evaluate all elements of moderate‑to‑high severity property loss claims in the field and virtually.
• Contact and meet with the insured or third parties virtually or in‑person to photograph and inspect all damaged dwellings, other structures, and personal property.
• Determine the scope of repairs and prepare a repair bid using the Xactimate estimating system.
• Reach an agreed cost of repair with the insured, Network Repair Program contractor or insured’s contractor.
• Follow the repair process to conclusion.
• With the assistance of experts, ensure the cause of loss is thoroughly investigated and identified.
• Settle and pay dwelling or other structure damages after coverage analysis.
• Handle all correspondence to ensure the file is regulatory compliant.

• 6+ years of related professional experience.
• 4+ years of claims experience with a preferred emphasis on homeowner claims.
• High school diploma required; related bachelor’s degree or higher may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Knowledge of the Xactimate estimating system.
• Knowledge of homeowner policies and procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record, or alternative transportation to safely transport equipment between sites.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• 2+ years of field experience.
• Knowledge of home construction.

• Total compensation package and annual bonus eligibility for most roles.
• 401(k) with company match.
• Starting pay range of $38.88–$51.88 per hour (location-based).
• Company‑wide annual discretionary bonus of up to 10% of eligible pay.
