- Perform tasks, projects, and research supporting pricing, underwriting, data analytics, profitability reporting, reserving, and finance
- Develop rate indications following standard actuarial practices
- Review rating-plan components using internal profitability data and competitive analysis
- Prepare rate filings and work with state insurance departments to obtain regulatory approval
- Validate large-account pricing models for underwriters
- Provide pricing indications on individual large accounts
- Maintain and expand management reports and analytics under Product Actuarial staff direction
- Conduct reserve reviews using property-casualty unpaid claim estimation techniques
- Prepare reserve summaries incorporating internal and external factors
- Handle routine service and research project requests
- Full-time summer internship for summer 2027
- Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Must have completed at least 60 credit hours
- Must reside and work within an eligible U.S. state under Encova's payroll policies
- Eligible states include Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule with days in the office each week
- Actuarial knowledge applicable to pricing, underwriting, data analytics, profitability reporting, reserving, and finance
- Knowledge of traditional property-casualty unpaid claim estimation techniques and methodologies
- Ability to extract, merge, validate, and maintain transactional datasets

Demonstrates strong actuarial knowledge in pricing, underwriting, data analytics, and reserving, with the ability to develop rate indications and validate pricing models. Proficient in preparing regulatory filings and conducting reserve reviews using property-casualty estimation techniques.
