Elphinstone Mechanical Services (EMS), proudly part of the SSH Group, is looking for an Operations Planner & Scheduler to join our team in Belmont.

Working closely with our Operations Coordinators, you'll provide key support across workforce planning, roster management and day-to-day operational coordination
, helping ensure our people, jobs and operational requirements are organised and aligned.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organised, enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and can confidently manage competing priorities while supporting the Operations team.

In This Role, You Will
  • Assist with planning and coordinating workforce requirements and employee rosters.
  • Support roster changes, employee availability, movements and replacements.
  • Work closely with Operations Coordinators to identify and resolve scheduling or resourcing gaps.
  • Review and approve timesheets and resolve discrepancies before payroll cut-off.
  • Maintain accurate job, roster and timesheet information across operational systems.
  • Coordinate employee medicals, LABDAS testing, training and compliance requirements.
  • Support fleet servicing, maintenance and vehicle administration.
  • Coordinate PPE, uniforms and operational onboarding requirements for employees and new starters.
  • Maintain operational records, trackers and reports across relevant systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational and administrative processes.
About you:
  • Previous experience in operations planning, scheduling, rostering, workforce coordination or a similar role.
  • Experience in mining, maintenance, labour hire or field services is highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience working with rosters, timesheets and operational systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and follow tasks through.

Experience with
Roster Pro, Green Tree, Job Adder or similar systems will be highly regarded.
